Abstract
This report documents the Twelfth Conference of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information, held at Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, in cooperation with the University of Sharjah. The report focuses on the conference theme concerning Arab libraries in the third millennium, particularly infrastructure, technologies, and manpower capabilities. It outlines the main conference tracks, including information and technical services, innovative technology, copyright and multimedia, human resource development, and quality management in Arab libraries. The report also highlights the participation of Arab library and information professionals in discussing the modernization of libraries and information centers, with special attention to Jerusalem, Palestinian documentary heritage, Arab cooperation, and library and information education.
