Al-Rafid Index: Tenth Year, 2003

Abstract

This item presents a bibliographic index of Al-Rafid magazine for its tenth year, 2003, prepared by the Library Administration of the Department of Culture and Information in Sharjah as a tool for organizing and retrieving the magazine’s contents. The index consists of major access points that help researchers and readers locate periodical materials, particularly an author index, which arranges writers and responsible bodies alphabetically with references to pages or entries, and a title index, which provides access to published items through their titles. The material reflects the nature of Al-Rafid as a multidisciplinary cultural periodical covering literature, thought, culture, heritage, media, arts, society, writing, and publishing. Its significance lies in supporting bibliographic control of cultural periodicals, facilitating the work of researchers, librarians, and cataloguers, and enabling those interested in cultural production in Sharjah and the UAE to trace authors and titles published during a specific year.
