Abstract

This article examines the role of computer-enhanced multimedia in developing decision-making skills, starting from the importance of decision-making in individual and social life and the need to prepare learners to address problems and select appropriate alternatives according to clear criteria. The author presents the concept and stages of decision-making, including problem identification, information gathering, analysis of alternatives, evaluation of options, selection of the most suitable alternative, and follow-up of results. The article also explains that effective decision-making requires cognitive, psychological, and organizational conditions such as clarity of goals, accuracy of information, comparison skills, critical thinking, and the ability to anticipate outcomes. It discusses the potential of multimedia to support these skills by integrating text, sound, images, graphics, video, simulation, and interactive activities, thereby providing a rich learning environment that helps learners analyze situations and represent problems concretely. The article concludes that educational software and multimedia do not merely deliver information; they also contribute to training learners in systematic thinking, active participation, and making more informed and contextually appropriate decisions in educational and real-life situations.
