[Wadi Al-Helo Library Statistics for 2008]

Abstract

This item presents illustrated statistics for Wadi Al-Helo Library in 2008 through tables and charts documenting library use according to several quantitative indicators. The statistics show visitor distribution by opening-hour periods across the months of the year, and provide monthly data on visitors by subject and field of knowledge, including general works, philosophy and psychology, religion, social sciences, language, pure sciences, applied sciences, arts, literature, history and geography, as well as reading, reference works, and periodicals. The material also records users by gender, nationality, occupational category, and age group. Its value lies in providing numerical indicators for measuring demand for Wadi Al-Helo Library, analyzing patterns of use, and identifying user characteristics. It therefore supports the evaluation and development of public library services in the Emirate of Sharjah.
