Abstract
This article examines the cultural and intellectual role of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi as a patron of Arab and Islamic culture and a supporter of scholarly and heritage institutions. It focuses particularly on his initiatives in Egypt, including his support for the Fustat Documentation House as a major institution for preserving national memory and historical documents through modern archival, restoration, and access technologies. The article also highlights his contribution to restoring the Egyptian Scientific Institute and his material, intellectual, and bibliographic support for cultural institutions. It presents Sheikh Sultan as a cultured ruler, historian, researcher, and patron of knowledge, linking his cultural project in Sharjah with broader Arab initiatives concerned with heritage preservation, research support, and the protection of collective cultural memory.
