Annual Statistical Collection of UAE Libraries, 1998: Al Bayan University

Abstract

This publication serves as a brief statistical record documenting the status of the Al Bayan University library in 1998 through an organized presentation of its physical features, equipment, core holdings, and selected indicators of use. The available pages show that the library was located on the first floor of the academic building and occupied an area of about 300 square meters. They also include data on shelving and seating capacity, as well as technical and library equipment such as internet-connected computers, printers, photocopying facilities, and presentation tools, reflecting a service infrastructure designed to support the university’s educational environment.

The document further provides quantitative information on library holdings, reference materials, periodicals, and audiovisual resources, while also indicating the relative predominance of English-language materials over Arabic-language materials in part of the collection. In addition, it includes circulation indicators for faculty, staff, and students, together with brief information on library staffing.
