Abstract

This editorial addresses the civilizational and intellectual role of libraries as enduring human and cultural assets whose value extends beyond preserving books and references. It presents libraries as institutions that safeguard collective memory, reinforce cultural identity, and strengthen the global presence of Arab culture. The editorial highlights the experience of Sharjah Libraries within the broader cultural and developmental vision of the Emirate of Sharjah, emphasizing libraries as spaces for awareness-building, knowledge circulation, and sustainable development.
