Digital Information Resource Fusion Systems: Processing Intelligence and Unified Retrieval

Abstract

This study aims to move toward a more advanced generation of information retrieval systems based on a comprehensive approach that integrates digital information resources and their various media forms. It addresses the unified processing, organization, and retrieval of text, audio, and image resources in a way that transcends the isolated formal characteristics of each medium. The study emphasizes the need to build a knowledge base and an applied component for semantic and conceptual linking between visual and textual content, enabling retrieval beyond a single-medium search model and allowing results to be retrieved across multiple media. It also highlights unified technical processing, digital perception of multimedia, natural language processing, and ontological semantic structures as key foundations for improving integrated retrieval and access to digital knowledge.
