Abstract
This study seeks to explore the future role of Arab libraries in cultural and creative industries, with particular emphasis on the potential for creating cultural and knowledge content through the use of artificial intelligence technologies. To achieve its objectives, the study relies on a narrative review of relevant studies and on two strategic planning approaches, namely TOWS quadrilateral analysis and SWOT matrix analysis, with the aim of developing an integrated strategic framework that includes proposed implementation projects. The study concludes that strengthening the role of Arab libraries as productive and active institutions in cultural and creative industries represents a fundamental strategic option for advancing Arab culture and developing knowledge and social capital, particularly in light of the growing global trend toward AI-generated digital content. The study also emphasizes the need for libraries to move beyond their traditional roles as repositories for preserving and providing access to knowledge and to transform into centers of knowledge and cultural production that support the Arab cultural economy and empower human capital through original content that reflects Arab identity and responds to sustainable development requirements. It recommends developing the skills of library professionals, updating institutional policies, and building strategic partnerships with entities concerned with cultural industries and information activities, thereby strengthening the position of libraries as major drivers of creativity and progress in Arab society.Downloads
