Scientific Publishing at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research

Abstract

This article presents the experience of scientific publishing at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research as part of the Center’s mission to serve the society of the United Arab Emirates and to support scholarly research on political, economic, social, and media issues related to the UAE, the Gulf, and the Arab world. It highlights the role of the Scientific Publishing, Translation, and Distribution Department in publishing books and strategic studies in Arabic and English, with an emphasis on objectivity, scholarly rigor, and sound methodology. The article reviews key aspects of the Center’s publishing policy, including the publication of original books, the translation of foreign works, the production of academic research and studies, and the release of specialized series such as lectures and occasional papers. It shows that the Center seeks to make specialized knowledge available to researchers, institutions, decision-makers, and readers through publications addressing contemporary strategic issues and strengthening the role of Emirati and Arab research in strategic and future studies.
